I’m Jayce, and since I was a kid, I’ve been working together with my parents at their farm. From morning till noon, the summer vacation was mostly spent taking care of the livestock in the company of my family’s loyal dogs Mark and Bunny. 

Mark used to be a massive German shepherd that was somber and vigilant all of the time but had a heart made of gold. And there it was, Bunny. He was a Border Collie that was very keen on jumping the fences from the farm hence the name. But even with those striking differences, the two were inseparable, a perfect pair.

Years passed by, and naturally, I stepped into my parents’ shoes. My dad used to be a veterinarian, and my mother was a biology teacher. They both gave up on their former careers when they started the farm. I wanted to make things easier, and as soon as I turned 19, I decided to become a veterinary technician in the town that was closest to the farm. 

This used to be an amazing job for me. I was saving animals in need, and I was also close to home. Obviously, the fact that my dad was already a vet tremendously helped. I worked like this for more than a decade until eventually, I felt a pull toward the city. There was a desire to see what life beyond the fields had to offer.

It turned out that the city wasn’t a bad place. There were lots and lots of opportunities to try new things. I really liked it, but something was missing. Also, this is where I met my beautiful wife. In the end, after we got married, we moved together back to the farm. This was a fantastic decision, and we were living our dream life, full of love, nature, and purpose.
