Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone, Montana

Many RVers highly recommend Yellowstone Grizzly for its closeness to Yellowstone National Park. This dog-friendly RV Park is right outside the west entrance to this stunning National Park and is an excellent park for your furry pal.

It’s situated adjacent to a national forest with tons of pet-friendly hiking trails around it, which you can access right from the park.

Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort in Foxboro, Massachusetts

The Dyrt named Normandy Farms “The Gold Standard of resort camping.” Their offerings for pets and their owners were a big part of that. For canines, there’s kennel rentals and a one and a half acre dog park for owners.

There’s also a set area for smaller breeds that weigh under 30 pounds. Dyrt also raves about the more than 20 miles of trails to wander and fishing ponds for gliding around with your pup.

Garden of the Gods RV Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Garden of the Gods Park will allow your pups on a six-foot leash, and the closeby Garden of the Gods RV Resort will allow all canines that aren’t “hostile.” They do have a blanket policy, though, that certain breeds, such as Rottweilers, Dobermans, and pit bulls, can’t be brought into the resort.

WagWalking pointed out that the resort has a “bark park” where dogs can run around off-leash. Bodie on the Road stopped by the park to enjoy the red rocks and noted that the park is dog-friendly and free.

And many who have visited also recommend that dogs and their owners explore Bear Creek Dog Park, which is nearby.

Turkey Creek RV Village in Hollister, Missouri

The fact that this dog-friendly RV park boasts a dog run bodes well for canine visitors. Many RVers recommend Turkey Creek for the nearby water and its friendly Midwestern managers.

Your dog will love walking along the creek. And its close proximity to charming Branson, Missouri doesn’t hurt either.

Massey’s Landing in Millsboro, Delaware

RV travelers recommend this dog-friendly RV park situated on the beautiful shores of Rehoboth Bay. Massey’s Landing has a two-park dog park right on the beach.

One is a big sandy box that gives your pooch plenty of space to run around and have fun in the sand, but the other one is a U-shape and goes right into the bay. So, your pup will love running around and splashing in the water.

Now, keep in mind that a shower is required before heading back to your RV to clean off all that wet sand, though!

Port Isabel Park Center in Port Isabel, Texas

The self-declared “RV Capital” of Port Isabel has lots of water activities for people. But many travelers have said that their dogs love Port Isabel’s enclosed bark park. It’s a fenced-in area for canines to play, monitored by camera, helping to ensure the park stays hygienic.

This dog-friendly RV park is a convenient, less pricey option to South Padre Island, which is immediately across the causeway.

Dane County Parks in Madison, Wisconsin

The Dane County Parks welcome canines any time of the year. So, when you visit, choose a spot in one of the five dog-friendly campgrounds. Campsite reservations include a free daily dog permit that’s valid for the duration of your stay.

And the parks give you easy access to the city of Madison and all the beautiful sights it has to offer. The park system also has some great off-leash dog parks, but note that they’re not always located in the same parks as the campgrounds.

Anchor Down RV Resort in Dandridge, Tennessee

This dog-friendly RV park has an incredible dog park that includes a whopping built-in agility course and a few other exercise and play equipment for your pup, and even a covered seating area for you.

Anchor Down recommends a nice local company: Luv UR Pet Sitters if you want to take a day trip to the nearby Dollywood. But the campground itself has lots to offer for the canine guests, as well.

Airport Park Campground in Concordia, Kansas

It’s clear to see that the city of Concordia thought about its four-legged travelers when they put a dog park in its campground. That’s what attracts many people to this beautiful place. While here, you can enjoy golfing, there’s a playground for the kiddos, and lots of room for your pup to run around.

Overall, it’s a fun park for the young and old. Oh, and not only do they have a fenced in dog park, but they have two. One is for smaller breed dogs, and the other is for larger canines.

Wilderness Road Campground at Cumberland Gap in Ewing, Virginia

Wilderness Road Campground allows you to bring your dogs on leashes, which may not sound like a good time at first. But bear in mind that bears roam freely in the nearby woods. So, keeping your pup on a leash might not be such a bad idea after all!

The GoPetFriendly founder and author of “The Ultimate Pet-Friendly Road Trip” suggests parking here to walk your dog.

She says that the Wilderness Road Campground at Cumberland Gap is fantastic because it gives you access to the almost 85 miles of dog-friendly hiking paths in the stunning Cumberland Gap National Historical Park.

4 Paws Kingdom Campground and Dog Retreat in Rutherfordton, North Carolina

We absolutely had to include this 34-acre RV campground explicitly created for dog owners on this list. Those who have stayed there raved about each RV site’s “yards” that are fenced in. You even have the option of choosing a shaded lot, one of the eight dog parks, and the park with the big pond.

While here, be sure to take advantage of the bathing station after a busy day. And the lure park has a bag on a cable feature that dogs can chase around. Co-owner Meik Bartoschek spoke to North Carolina Field and Family of 4 Paws’ guests, and said that they get visited by people who love their dogs and just want to be with them any way they can.

They also get groups that do dog sports and is serious about it. They come here because they can combine the relaxing idea, vacation, plus an hour or two of training, which you won’t likely find anywhere else.
